Enrollment Policies

1.) Courses are structured to be completed within an academic semester, but at the UNL Independent Study High School, you have one year from the enrollment date to complete the course. Your course expiration date is displayed in Way Cool at the bottom of the "My Work" and "My Grades" sections.

2.) If you fall behind schedule, and are unable to complete the course within a year, you may extend your enrollment by 90 days, for a fee of $35.

3.) If you wish to drop a course, please call Customer Service at (866) 700-4747 or (402) 472-2175.

Refunds

Course Fee: If you wish to cancel an enrollment or drop a course, you will receive a credit of the course fee minus $30 for processing per course enrollment and $15 for each completed assignment or test. Your credit will be processed upon receipt of a written request received within 30 days from the date of enrollment. All other fees charged at the time of enrollment are non-refundable.

Materials: Your course materials may be returned for a refund if they meet the following criteria:
-The materials are returned within 30 days of the date of the purchase.
-The materials are currently used in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Independent Study High School.
-The materials have not been used. (Science kits, mathematics kits, art kits, CDs, and disks must be returned — unopened with seal intact — in their original packaging.)
-The materials are returned in salable condition.
